The real effective exchange rate of the ruble against the basket of currencies of the states – the main trading partners of Russia in July 2022 decreased by 0.2% compared to June, according to a preliminary estimate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation published on its website. At the same time, the index of the real effective exchange rate of the ruble against the dollar decreased last month by 3.3%, against the euro – increased by 0.7%. In January-July 2022, the real effective exchange rate of the ruble rose by 42.2%, against the dollar – by 39.8%, against the euro – by 46.2%. The nominal exchange rate of the ruble against foreign currencies increased by 0.9% in July, decreased by 1.6% against the dollar, and rose by 1.7% against the euro.
