July 2. FINMARKET.RU – The Ministry of Labor has submitted to the government the first estimates of the cost of introducing a system of long-term care for the elderly and disabled in the Russian Federation, Kommersant writes. The long-term care system implies support and rehabilitation, including at home, for those people who have partially or completely lost the ability to live on their own every day, without outside support. The creation of a long-term care system by 2030 is one of the goals of the Demography national project; the Ministry of Labor has been discussing its design with the participation of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives since 2018. Over the past 3 years, pilot projects for the implementation of the system have begun in 24 regions of the country.
