April 29. FINMARKET.RU – In the draft of a new version of its strategy until 2024, Rosstat proposes to accelerate the adaptation of the statistics collection scheme in Russia to the very rapidly changing conditions in the economy. Yesterday’s board of Rosstat approved the idea of auditing the Federal Statistical Work Plan (FPSR) with its further correction – including by replacing the collection of statistical reports with big data analysis, a “single point of reporting” scheme and “unconditional digitalization”. The approval of the major modernization of statistics will make it cheaper, wider and more adaptable, should reduce the costs of the economy as a whole on collecting statistics. In some cases, Rosstat data will appear a little later, but it will be more accurate, writes Kommersant.
