Pensioners are offered to voluntarily refuse online payments and outgoing transfers

February 9th. FINMARKET.RU – The number of fraudulent transactions with bank cards can be reduced several times if pensioners are given the opportunity to voluntarily refuse online payments and outgoing transfers. According to Izvestia, such a proposal in the Central Bank was prepared by the All-Russian People’s Front’s project For the Rights of Borrowers. Now, in 60% of cases, fraudsters steal funds from the accounts of people of mature and elderly age, and they need additional protection, the public activists emphasize. The Central Bank told Izvestia that they are already working on requirements for additional protection of pensioners and disabled people when using financial services.
