Almost half of Russians (43%) have noticed a significant increase in meat and poultry prices over the past four weeks, according to a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), published on Friday on its website. The results of the study show that 42% of respondents have observed a noticeable increase in prices for sugar in the last month, 40% – for milk and dairy products. A significant increase in the price of bread over this period was mentioned by 35% of the survey participants, fish and seafood – 34%, vegetable oil – every third (33%), cereals and pasta – 32%, fruits and vegetables – 31%, eggs – 28%. According to FOM, 16% of respondents noticed a significant increase in prices for alcoholic beverages.
