Mosbirzhi index renews its all-time high

The Moscow Exchange index updated record levels at the opening of trading on Tuesday, reaching 1625 points at the moment, but has already rolled back from the highs. The RTS dollar index is at zero.

Liquid stocks are mostly on the rise, with the exception of steelmaker stocks. Earlier, they showed strong growth amid high prices for steel products, and today they are falling on the news that the FAS initiated proceedings against three companies in the flat steel market: Severstal (-3%), MMK (-2.5%), NLMK (-2%).

The shares of yesterday’s leaders in the petrochemical sector are also falling in price: Orgsintez-up (-9%), Orgsintez-jsc (-5.8%), NKNKh-jsc (-3%). The shares rose in the previous days on the news of the merger of the assets of Sibur and TAIF.

Heavyweight Sberbank shares are renewing record levels, adding 0.5%, aiming at around 300 rubles.

The external background is rather moderately positive. Oil prices are up 0.6% to $ 66, while S&P 500 futures are up 0.14%.

The USD / RUB pair is growing by 0.09%, being at the level of 75.03.
