April 27. FINMARKET.RU – Investors withdraw money from “classic” deposits, partially directing them to savings accounts. Time deposits of individuals have been decreasing since the beginning of the pandemic. In March, according to the Bank of Russia, they decreased by 231 billion rubles (or 1.1%), and since the beginning of the year – by 559 billion rubles, to 20.6 trillion rubles. The Central Bank associates the outflow of money from deposits with the fact that now many banks pay interest on current accounts, while clients have more flexibility in managing their funds. Also affected by the growth of consumer activity and low rates on deposits, writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
