Citizens’ incomes do not keep pace with housing and communal services tariffs

July 7. FINMARKET.RU – The income of the population does not keep pace with the rise in the cost of utilities in the country. Residents of Russian million-plus cities – with rare exceptions – spend an increasing part of the family budget on housing and communal services (HCS): from 6% to almost 13% depending on the region, according to the Institute for Natural Monopolies Problems (IPEM). According to the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), about a third of citizens consider the increase in the cost of utilities to be noticeable.
